аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Council The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Council is the guardian of the vision of the School’s Founders and maintains a link with the Uniting Church in Australia The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Council is responsible for the sustainable future of the School by providing strategic guidance, adopting sound, ethical and legal governance and financial management policies. The Council ensures the School develops and implements strategies and supporting policies and processes to fulfil the objectives set out in the Constitution. In addition, Council's role is to effectively oversee and review the School’s management; it is not involved in day-to-day or operational matters. All matters to do with the day-to-day operation of the School or management issues should be referred to the relevant Executive staff member or the Principal, Lisa Moloney, who can be contacted by email on principal@mlcsyd.nsw.edu.au. The Council does not involve itself in specific management issues (such as discipline, the details of the curriculum, staff concerns, or the payment of fees). The Council has 10 members. There are currently three standing committees being: Finance Risk and Audit, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Nominations and Review.
Chair of аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Council, Kylie Bryden-Smith Kylie Bryden-Smith (1989) became Chair of Council in March 2025 and is the third alumna to hold the position. Kylie was appointed to the School Council in March 2018, was Deputy Chair from March 2020 and served as Chair of the Nominations and Review Committee. Kylie is a graduate of the AICD and a senior executive with over 30 years' experience. Kylie has led award-winning policy reform initiatives, high profile marketing communications campaigns, and developed strategic partnerships and programs delivering impressive business and social outcomes through roles in government, corporate and not-for-profit organisations. Motivated by enriching the lives of others, Kylie's passion for helping others is evident not only in her professional experience, but also in her volunteer roles in arts, sports and educational organisations. She was awarded a Lane Cove Council Citizenship award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to her local community. Kylie is an аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Old Girl and former School Captain. She has also served as Chair of the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Nominations and Review Committee. Her daughter graduated in аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ's 2022 cohort. She is keen to give back to the School that she credits with shaping her and her daughter to be leaders and compassionate agents of change.
